I tested at Albany Medical Center the weekend of Oct 16-18, 2015. There were 6 or 7 students total I believe. The CA was great. Her name was Dicey O'Malley. The people examiners were fair and respectful. I found that knowing my information and what I needed to do was very helpful. I was able to advocate for myself when I needed to. I was able to ask questions when I needed to. I felt that as long as I was confident and respectful I was good to go. I had one repeat only because I was in error when I changed my care plan. Remember if you have it as an intervention you must be the one to perform that action. I.E. part of my care plan was to feed the patient. The patient was being fed as I walked in the room. Being that I could document how much she ate because I visualized the tray I felt that it was ok. No I did not perform that action so therefore I needed to change that part of my care plan. It was a great learning experience. I wouldn't want to do it again but I am grateful and it was a positive experience for me. We had most of our group pass. Three of us that passed were first time testers.
